Hi,
I'm new to this forum so please excuse any lack of knowledge of the appropriate rhetoric.
I'm looking for a solution as to why my object cannot be shelled. Attached is the stl file. Let me know if there's anything else I can provide.
Thanks,
Nate
stl is planar faceted triangular surfaces.
Do you have original geometry?
File>Export the *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach here.
(Download and Open the Attached file from your local drive to see an example Shell).
When I export the f3d file nothing is created on my computer. I'm also unable to open the file you attached, it says it's not supported.
Maybe you can explain to me how you were able to get it to shell.

1. Did you create the original geometry yourself in Fusion 360? Or did you download someone else's work off the internet?
2. Are you set to automatic updates for Fusion?
If you check Help>About Fusion
are you running v 2.05119
Rather perplexing that you could not Export your design
or Open my file?
I was able to fix the problem of not being to open your file or creating an export of my design.
I looked at your file. How were you able to shell it? I get the error: "The operation could not create a valid result."
I've attached a .f3d file of my design.
Your sketches are not fully defined.
Capture Design History is turned off.
I do not know why someone would work this way.
I am too lazy to work this way - I prefer to be able to easily edit my designs.
This is covered in first 10 minutes of my class.
