Text Workarounds

I need to get a "bloody" text into Fusion 360. I have tried a bunch of workarounds. I have tried using Inkscape. I have tried tracing an existing gif of the text I need. An hour in it seems like this should be easier. What am I missing? If I trace the text I end up with a valid object but Fusion lacks the computing power to move 260 lines without glitching. Exactly what text formats can Fusion work with? Is there a text tutorial explaining the limitations of the text engine?

Can you post the gif of the text here?  You may need to zip it if the forum doesn't accept gifs.

p.s. Or the name of the font.

I'm an infrequent user of Fusion 360 at the moment.

I'm currently laying out  Flying Disc/Frisbee art. Used InkScape for the  funky  text which is on a circular path.

Straight plain inkscape *.SVG import failed or lacked the desired result.

To import the text layout as designed I used Inkscape's [Object - Menu ] Object ->  Ungroup and [Path-Menu] Object -> Path. I'm familiar with *.SVG  format but I did not bother to look at what Inkscape was generating initially or what Fusion 360 supports.

Big Blue Saw InkScape DXF export plugin  was the source for that idea. Might be worth reading their instructions for prepping inkscape files for dxf export. (its brief)

Thank you @raycon2010 That worked. Frustrating that there has to b a work around but I can finish the job.

I leave this workaround here so I can find it next time a font is not behaving in Fusion 360:

Straight plain inkscape *.SVG import failed or lacked the desired result.

To import the text layout as designed in Inkscape

[Object - Menu ] Object ->  Ungroup and

[Path-Menu] Object -> Path.

Save as a Plain SVG. Don't use the InkScape SVG.

Open a Fusion file, either new or existing

Import SVG

When this dialog opens it is important to set the scale here as you will likely not be able to move or rescale after you click okay.

     (I have been using a separate sketch so I can delete it if things go wrong.)
