Templated custom holes and design features workflow

Hello,

A two part question:

Part 1

I am doing a lot of repetitive design for 3D Printing. A lot of the time I need to make specific over-sized holes to suit melt-in inserts or to compensate for filament shrinkage in the cooled part. Is there a way under the create hole function to edit the fastener standards to have a standard that can list my hole parameters that this can call? Possibly there is in an editable doc or database somewhere?

Part 2

I have a lot of features like snaps, flexible hinges, and other common 3D printed design features I'd like to more or less quickly add to my designs. What is the best workflow to accomplish this?

I can't comment on part one, but part 2 can be accomplished by saving each feature in an external design and then inserting that into your new design. Break the link and then you can use the combine function to merge it with your geometry.

Hole dimensions are exposed in User Parameters. User Parameters can be exported and imported.  Combine these for custom sizes Smiley Happy
