Sweep on multiple planes and radii

Hi All,

I am modeling a generator rotor and I need to put windings in. In reality the are copper flat bar moulded around, but for simplicity I am modeling them as a single body. I need to get from the end of one slot to another around some tricky planes.

See pictures for what I am trying to do. One picture is an experiment with a 3d sketch but it won't tangent across multiple planes. The other picture is the actual project. I need to come out of the slots and around under the transparent component.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Can you attach your file to the thread (File/Export/Archive file *.f3d).  It will be much easier with the file.

Is this what you want?

This one is just a fillet on the inside and outside of the end and side segments:

As you can see, there is a slight mismatch between the top edges.

The following was done with the Sweep command:

Sweep3d.JPG

One end of the straight section was used as the profile and the upper, outer edge was used as the path.  It took multiple sweeps to complete.  The end of each sweep was used as the profile for the next sweep.  Only half was done with the sweep commands, mirror was used to complete the bar.

There's probably an easier way to do tangent 3d splines, but I don't often work with 3d sketches.
