Sweep error during Surface Tutorial using Path+Guide Surface

I was following the Surface Modelling tutorial. The sweep with guide surface looked OK until I clicked the OK on the dialog. I then received the following error:

"Warning: Sweep2 1 Reference Failures
Sweep creation failed. Try reselecting the inputs."
The F3D with the error is attached.

Hi! I think this might be a bug, since the preview does show up. The issue here seems to be that the profile sketch and the path are coplanar. The Guide Surface Sweep might be confused. Try creating a workplane perpendicular to the path and creating the profile sketch on that workplane. It should work.

Many thanks!

what is the desired outcome for this sweep? as is, i don't see a reason for having a guide surface, seems to work fine with just a path.

The Path+Guide Surface breaks the sweep into multiple faces.

Thanks, that does indeed work. The "Sweep Profile" sketch is in the same plane as "Sketch 5" which is used to create the surface. I added a new sketch perpendicular to "Sket

ch 5" and used it as the profile.
