Emboss distortion on chamfer

Hello, I am a beginner fusion user.

I am trying to emboss a circular, brick like patten on a chamfer. When I try to emboss the pattern it curves more than it should. I've tried to change the angles and positioning to make it fit, but nothing makes it fit the inner circle

I've tried to experiment with simpler objects. I have a chamfer on a cylinder with a rectangle embossed on the chamfer. When I emboss it the rectangle curves instead of staying straight.

Is there any way to fix this. If not are the any alternatives to create the pattern I want.

Hi,

Have you tried to make a simple one brick representation and then use circular pattern tool set to feature? You can

then do a combine to make it one single body.

There's a lot of options with the 5 Images you posted....I assume this is one you are actually after? What is it? and the purpose of the brick like pattern? Share your model?Screenshot 2024-03-16 160638.png

This fixed the distortion issue. Do you know if there's any way to create variation in the pattern. I would like the bricks to be different sizes.

I attached the file in the reply above. This is what the design is based off of and what I'm trying to get the finished design to look like.

The inner ring-shaped grooves could also be made in this way.

It's all very small, is that supposed to be printed MDF?

Thank you, this helps a lot. I don't know what MDF means, but I'm scaling it up when I print it.

Sorry!
I meant "FDM" (Fused Deposition Modeling)
