Sweep causing non-continuous faces

Hi all,

I have designed a stent for my project. I want to carry out finite element analysis on this stent that i have designed however, the programme that i am using for the finite element analysis doesn't like the fact that each of the stent's coils have non-continuous faces.

I have read another forums post that mentions that the non-continuous faces are caused by complicated sketches. However, my sketch only consists of a circle... I have also tried stitch but, it doesn't allow me to click on the faces.

Could someone help me with this problem? Thank you.

The reason your helices are "broken up" is because the sweep profile is not perpendicular to the sweep path.

I bet the @TheCADWhisperer's design will show you how to do that.
