Swapping X/Y

Hi,

It turns out that my designs are Y-up but my output should be Z-up.

Is there a straightforward way to redefine the global axes?

As I understand it, my options are to (a) componentize and/or rotate everything and abandon root sketches or (b) create a new design and x-ref the original into it and rotate it, and use the new files for output. Neither of these are particular attractive.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I had read that thread and concluded that it was not possible but it diverged to CAM setups and I wasn't sure if my conclusion was correct. Hence my direct question here.

The CAM setup solution isn't helpful unless it is possible to use it when exporting an STL. It would be useful if someone could link to more information if indeed that is possible.

So it's just the resulting STL file? Use Meshmixer to edit / relocate it afterwords.

Change your preference to Z up, does not help with completed designs.

Rotate the STL in the Slicer Software,

but I only use one Slicer, it is a simple process, with it.

Might help...
