SVG Manipulation

I end up using a lot of SVG files because Illustrator is much more powerful with regards to text processing (text along a curve, text along a path, etc.), and also, a lot of my work ends up coming form Illustrator.  Once I've placed an SVG into a sketch, it appears fixed. I can't later resize, move, change the angle.  Am I missing this functionality?

If I'm NOT missing this functionality, I'd like to recommend a suggestion: make SVGs objects which can be selected and manipulated at a later time. Just like I can type text, and then change it later, as long as I don't "explode" it, I'd like to be able to move, resize, and change the angle of a placed SVG object after I've placed it. It should always be adjustable until I extrude it (or whatever I use it for, which makes it unmovable).

Thoughts?  Am I missing something?

I did a layout today with two sets of text and a logo for practice.  Once I put the text and logo down, if I show it to someone else and they say "Wow, that looks great, but can you move the text up/down a bit?"  I don't think that I can without deleting the text and restarting. That's not an optimal workflow.

Thanks!

@AmarandAgasi

In the sketch you can window select the entire SVG then in the sketch pallet click fix/unfix button and then you can modify it.
