SVG import problem

Hello

I have two .svg files. one works and the other file crashes Fuison 360.

Both files comes from same model:

http://geargenerator.com/#300,300,100,10,0,1,3024.799999999998,2,1,15,3.75,4,27,-90,0,0,49,12.25,4,2...

downloaded each spur gear to .svg file.

gg_gear N49 crashes fusion 360.

gg_gear N15 works fine.

Have also tried other gear types of matching sizes,

but it seems to be the biggest spur gear always chrasing fusion.

The smalest spur gear works.

Do you have any solution to what it might be?

Regards

Jostein

I don't know why Fusion crashes but if you need the gear Fusion has a gear script you can use.

It works in CM so you need to enter a conversion for your gear, just enter 4/2.54 for the pitch then 27.5 pa and 49 teeth.

Load the script here.

Then run the gear addon here.

Hi josteinhellebust,

Thanks for reporting the SVG import issue. Fusion should not crash when inserting any kind of SVG file.

Now I have reported FUS-26815 internally to track this problem. Our developer will try to fix the crash in time.

Thanks,

Frank

Thank you for the support!

Would love to use the .stl import problem free.

I have alredy tried the spur gear script.

find it somewhat difficult for a beginner in spur gear design to match gears.

I find the site http://geargenerator.com easy to use when finding maching gears and size.

And importing into fusion 360 is very powerful option.

I like this side of fusion (among many things), easy to integrate diffrent drawings and easy to modify.

Looking forward for a solution to problem free stl imort.

If there is a solution to the stl import, i want to use it in 3D printing for several projects.

Best regards

Jostein

My 5+ Years old notebook (Lenovo T520), WIN 7 Ultimate could import both SVG files without any problems.
