I would like to find a simple way to apply the svg design shown, a pattern of dots, to the surface of the contoured object below it in the pictures. 'Project to surface' won't work- the dots in the design get distorted on the edges. The end goal is to use the dots in the pattern to create raised bumps normal to the surface of the object. I would appreciate any suggestions, and thanks!
Project-to-surface might offer a more desirable result using the Closest Point setting option, but it still isn't going to be like wrapping the design around the surface.
Unfortunately I tried this and it led to undesirable distortion in the pattern. I was wondering if this could be done in the CAM environment, but I'm a novice there.
