Surface Meshing Geometry Error

I scanned in a baseball helmet. I am trying to put pads into the helmet but I am having trouble running the simulation tests. I continually get failed tests due to bad geometry in my mesh. I read in other posts to isolate the bad geometry and then try to delete the bad sections. I am confused about how to delete the bad sections? I can delete it in the model section but not in the mesh section. If someone could help me get the mesh correct that would be great. Also, out of curiosity, how do you make the features of the helmet lest detailed. I'm pretty sure that is the problem here but in the future if I need the detailed helmet I'd love to learn how to fix the geometry correctly. Heres the Picture of my helmet and my Errors:

In Fusion we can't delete areas of the mesh in simulation we need so the areas need to be cleaned up in the modeling workspace for now.  If you share the geometry with me I can take a look to see how we might be able to clean it up.  With Scanned geometry there are usually sliver surfaces and sometimes holes in the geometry.

There are a few methods to clean up the geometry, you can try cutting areas out that have a lot of detail then replace the areas with simple shapes.  The delete command under modify can remove faces and automatically heal geometry, but depending on the level of complexity you may need to select more or less faces.  We are currently working on some tools to help simplify geometry for simulation purposes but they are not available yet.  Another way to work on the geometry is to break it up into surface bodies in the patch environment deleting areas and extending others to remove small gaps.

Does this help at all?  If I have the geometry I can take a closer look and be more precise about the actions to take to make it simpler.
