Supporting edges and offsetting outwards

Hi

Obviously, adding standard edge loops isn't going to apply to the models in Fusion, but what would be the equivalent? I need a supporting edge and then I need/want to extrude another face and scale it outwards so it fans out and then extrude and scale in. So it looks like this:

Actually, thinking about it now, I should probably just make each part a separate piece.
