When you click on an object that was created by an extrude, the extrude operation is highlighted in the timeline.

SUGGESTION: when you click on an object that was created by mirroring, the mirror operation in question should be highlighted in the timeline.

ps I really don't get the idea of the Feedback Hub (which somehow replaces the Ideastation): where should I copy /paste this suggestion there?

Mirror icon in the timeline already behaves the way you describe for me.  can you screen cast an example of what you mean?

`Here's an example where I click on a couple of items and we see what happens in the timeline.

Labour of love making screencasts.

interesting.  Your original question referred to extrusions, so that's what I checked.  It works as expected with mirrored bodies,  but doesn't work with mirrored  components.  I also noticed it works with copied/pasted components, but doesn't work when you "create component from bodies".  This does seems to be inconstant behavior from a UI point of view.  @jeff_strater -thoughts?

It's not just that it's inconsistent, it's also potentially quite hard to find "where" in the timeline an entity was created, necessitating a trial and error approach.
