Stuck in pivot

I recently opened one of my assemblies and I am stuck in some kind of pivot mode.  I can't manipulate the assembly in any way, I can only hold left click and pivot my assembly.  I've tried closing the part and reopening to no avail.  I've even tried resetting my computer, but no matter what when I open the assembly it's stuck in this pivot mode.  I've tried changing the pivot point in the "move" script but it won't let me select anything.  Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you possibly post a screencast, or even better, the model itself?

When you say " I am stuck in some kind of pivot mode", do you mean you are trying to drag components (not in any command), and the components are not moving, or are you in the Move command (the "triad" is visible), and it is actually stuck in pivot mode?

There are a couple of possibilities here:

  1. there could be a Fusion bug here
  2. your assembly has become fully fixed (all components grounded, or in a rigid group including a grounded component, or all held together with rigid joints, etc)

Anyway, with more data, we should be able to help you.

Jeff

I am still not sure what happened with this, but i just saved my part as a new part and closed the old one.  Problem fixed, I'm sure it was a random bug.  I'll let you know if it happens again.

I am having a similar problem, I move my cursor in any direction and my view of the plane moves with it.

This is still happening. Any ideas? Sucks to have to quit and reopen when stuck in pivot.

Thank you for your help and fast replay.

I would like to ask is it possible to create a shortcut like "crt+shift+delete" button combo to remove the pivot? Or maybe even develop such thing? (aka feature request)

Thx.
