STL to STEP

Hello,

I have followed tutorials and youtube videos to convert a particular STL to STEP file but am having no success. I have attached the file I am trying to convert. I would appreciate any help.

That stl has far too many facets for Fusion 360 to convert to brep.  You can try reducing the facets in MeshMixer or use the "Create Mesh Section Sketch" tool to recreate it in native Fusion 360 geometry.

Where did you get that model from, it looks like a mechanical part designed in software, then converted to a triangulated mesh. Try instead to find the source.
