STL friendly???

What are the odds of making fusion 360 more sol friendly. I recently downloaded the Mesh add-in and is better, but being able to use basic operations like booleans (cutting), or even brush sculpting will be awesome. I give courses and having to use mesh mixer and going back and forth is not very good for beginners. I think it could be easy and a very good addition to such a robust software.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting! Have you tried Mesh workspace? I assume you are able to do what you want there.

Please note that you need to switch to Direct modeling mode by clicking "Do not capture Design History" in the browser to access the Mesh environment. I hope this information helps!

Hi Masanobu, 

Yes, I've tried but is not possible to do any boolean operations for intersecting meshes. I think this could be really easy to implement and I really need it since I mostly work with STL files and they loose quality if converted to quad bodies.

Oops... sorry I was only thinking about combining bodies. I think you may consider submitting your idea to the Fusion IdeaStation forum, which is constantly monitored by developers and product managers, and is currently the most effective way to request a product enhancement:

Other forum users will have the opportunity to Vote or add Kudos to the Idea. Votes on an idea will increase the likelihood that an idea will be implemented.
