Stl file upload failure

One file failed in an upload of a set of stl files from thingiverse, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:650492/#files.  Again there is no way to determine why it failed or if I should just try uploading it again.

Upload time was approximately 11pm PDT.

I note I can use the Insert Mesh command to insert all 3 STL files on the provided link.

See the below help topic for further information on this process.

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/ENU/Fusion-F...

Does this suggestion help?

Thanks,

The real problem isn't that it failed, the bug is that there is no information the user can act on to resolve the failure.

I would try importing the stl file as a mesh, but I rarely use the sculpt mode and it doesn't appear on the dropdown.  Now I have to do a search on the Internet to determine how to enter the sculpt mode so I can try the import 😞

To access the Insert Mesh command, you must be in a Direct Edit environment. To enter into one of these environments:

  • Use the Create Base Feature command create base feature.png to enter a Base Feature Environment
  • Use the Insert Form Command Create Form.pngto enter the Sculpt Environment

  • You can also disable Parametrics by selecting Do not capture Design History

After that, you will find the Insert Mesh available from the Insert Drop down menu.

You could check your diagnostic log files to see if there were any recorded errors.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
