STL export ignores actual rotation of object

I've first time designed an object rotated (backlight holder for my bike).  The initial sketch is "standard" on x/y. I rotated first after extrusion.

For printing i rotated the whole object back -40° and exported as stl - The stl file is still at 40°.

Screenshots attached - showing the object wile rotation. And the exported, rotated object in cura.

Added screenshot of the stl module from front. Here you see that the preview of stl is "flat" - as the object actual is - and not rotated.  The only rotated here is the origin. It seems that the stl export uses the origin rotation and not the actual object orientation.

I think you rotated the component that this object exists in.  Component transform is ignored on STL export.  If, instead, you rotate the Body, the STL will reflect that rotation.
