Stitch issue

Hi guys,

Not sure If my question would make sense, but here it is:

What should be the end result of a stitch?

What I want/think is two faces in the patch environment to just blend in together no more 'Lines' between the two, just one smooth surface.

2 faces > stitch > 1 face

Why is it not what is happening?

Thanks

Stitch only joins the surfaces together. With flat surfaces or identical cylindrical surfaces it will merge them but it will not just merge surfaces that don't form a flat surface or cylinder. In direct mode there is an option in to merge surfaces but looking at your screenshot I don't think that's an option.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the answer,

I kinda suspected that it wasn't possible, I tried a lot of different ways.

Though I don't see why this couldn't be an option in Fusion.

Why two faces "touching" alongside one edge couldn't be "blended" into one face.

Is it something that could happen in a near future?

Like I said, if you turn history off you can merge surfaces, don't know why it's not available with history. You need to be careful and not try merging surface that are too different as it can change the shape. I guess for now your only workaround would be to start a sketch and extract the edges and try Loft or Patch using the sketch.
