spring-lock design

I have designed a smartphone holder (downloadable design: https://a360.co/3Hf8D8g). It works well, particularly when printed on resin with a Formlabs printer, but the lid closing mechanism could be improved.

I was thinking of designing some kind of spring-loaded mechanism, with a very light spring (max 6mm diameter), and I am searching for inspiration. Any tips that you might be able to give me?

You are not using computationally efficient modeling techniques

and

are all of your sketches fully defined?

Are there any unresolved issues highlighted on the Timeline?

yes something got screwed up at the last iteration. I will fix it, but first I'd like to decide how to lock the lid.

First - I would have to start over - using what was learned from this attempt.

Actually my problem is that I need to design some kind of snap lock and I was hoping to receive some input on that. Once that is decided, i could starrt over (or fix the existing design). Maybe something like this: https://a360.co/4jsu2Z1
