Spline dimensions in drawing.

I've been using fusion 360 primarily for work to create 3d models of products i quote to find volumes and then to create 2d drawings. When I take the 3d model and start a drawing, I have a very difficult time getting some dimensions in areas where my original sketch is a spline. Is there a way to add a point in drawing mode so I can create a dimension to a point on the spline? Love fusion 360! Use it all the time for personal stuff for my 3d printer. But for work this I'm getting aggravated cuz I know its gotta be possible

it´s not possible to add points in drawing mode.

My way is shown in the screencast.

1. project (intersect) a body profil

2. create lines cutting the projected profil

3. create drawing > activate sketches

4. add dimension
