For instance,  A piston rod made of 440 steel, I am assuming the software can calculate/provide the volume of a shape and multiply it times the weight  per SQ Inch of various materials entered by the user.  Or at least provide the volume of the object in SQ Inches.

Excellent,  Thank you Sir for the prompt reply.

  I am new to 3D and to Autodesk.  I have been a 2.5D designer in Corel Draw for years running 2.5D cnc routers. I have had it in my mind I would learn Rhino....But I stumbled across Fusion 360 and this will for sure be my program of choice.  I look forward to learning and maybe being of help to others someday!
