solidify patch surface on a solid body

I see a lot of tutorials on this but for some reason cannot get a boundary fill, or a stitch to solidify a patch on a solid.

I am attaching a simplified version here.  I need to patch between some complicated shapes on the real part, and it includes a very large mesh.  Thanks in advance for any help with this, as usual.

use Boundary Fill for this.  See the screencast below.  I had to extend your surface body a bit to make sure that it overlaps with the solid:

Beautiful!  Thanks a lot Jeff.  I noticed an error indicating overlap was insufficient but didn't have the confidence to trust I wasn't just missing something......assuming a sketch directly on those surfaces was all I needed. 

This is great though, exactly what I needed.  Thanks again.
