Solid works to Fusion 360, maintaining joints

Hi

I am trying to create an animation in KeyShot, but the file I'm working with is coming from a colleague. If he assembles joints and then sends me a .step file, will those joints be maintained?

Nope. STEP files are generic in format and assembly mates, or joints don't carry over.

Even when provided in native SW format that won't work and I am not sure any CAD system can do that. On top,of that Fusion 360 joints work differently than the usual assembly mates in SW, SE, Inventor and othe3r CAD systems.

Do you have any experience with KeyShot, could the files be ported directly into KeyShot, while still maintaining joints?
