Solid or Surface to flat sheetmetal??

I'm new to CAD so please forgive me.

I'm trying to design a square tube framerail for practice and I am trying to turn the pieces into sheetmetal and flat pattern as if I were to get it laser cut and bent. I'm working the framerail in four sections, top, right, left and bottom.

I can't figure out how to get my body to flatten, everytime i use the "flat pattern" command, it just brings the piece into the flat pattern screen but doesn actually flatten anything.

I've tried going from solid to surface to thicken, then using sheetmetal.

Your part is not uniform Thickness.

There are unresolved issues highlighted in yellow in the timeline?

Outside radius = inside radius + Thickness

(They cannot be the same.)

Put your Bend Fillet in BEFORE the Thicken and you will avoid this error in logic.
