Smoothed face randomly appears, preventing selecting vertex as pivot point

When in wireframe mode, if I try to move an edge and then select a pivot point, a smoothed face randomly appears and prevents vertex selection. I have no idea why that face appears.

I suspect, though am not 100% certain without the model, that this face is the BRep result from this T-Spline.  By default, that is shown when editing a Form feature.  It is a valid target for the pivot point command, which is why you are seeing it there.  Try turning off this preference:

and see if it stops.  If you want to share the model, we can take a look

Hi, that option is off already.

I don't have saved that point of the project unfortunately..

it is the ghosted body, but it's the current one, not the result body from previous session.  long left  mouse click will give you a list of items of under the mouse pointer and allow you to select the vertex.

I have tried the same @Anonymous  and it worked for me.

in the past, the same happened to me but with edges. my problem is not like yours it some times wont pick edges.

if that happens ill just switch bw design and form workspace. It works for me, once try that.

yes, I can reproduce it, even with the ghosted body off.  Strange...
