Smooth out tricky curved surface

Hello,

I am stuck on a conical shaped 180 degree curve (green part) and I can't get it to be fully smooth. Right now there are still two lines visible as can seen in the picture. These lines are also visible on 3D prints.

Does anyone have advice how to smooth it out?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Simple loft from the semi-circle to the straight line.  Inside sharp corners are not helping,

"Smooth" means at least tangentially (G1) connected. You will not be able to achieve that the closer the surface(s) are approaching these two points. That is mathematically impossible!

Hi,

here is the f3d file. It wasn't made in fusion though, so there is no edit history...

How did you loft from the semicircle to a line? I can only loft from semicircle to a rectangle, but no matter how I connect the profiles it always creates some strange results.

The geometry you have created does not lend itself to a smooth ( G1 or G2) surface transition. @davebYYPCU 's design does not dot that either.

@kmfaerber

If it were my work I would remodel from scratch in Fusion.

Fortunately the model is not too complex.

I would probably approach in a different way than you might expect - the inside geometry in a simple block and then Shell.  Then model the remaining lips and bosses.
