Slicer - Interlocked Slices

I am testing out Slicer for Fusion 360 with regards to an application we use.  One thing that I have come up with is a need to have slicer add dovetails when using the interlocked slice construction when the model gets large than the material.

For example, I am wanting to use a material that is 95" long and the model is 108" long.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out. You are right that when the model exceeds the size of the material, there should be some solution. The original codebase for Slicer comes from a product called 123D Make, that was aimed to consumers, who normally had no problems around very large slices.

Right now we are gathering feedback around enhancements, and checking how much traction does Slicer gets. Then we'll be able to define next steps for Slicer.

As a workaround, would it make sense to export the slices as STL into Fusion and create the dovetails there?

I have one case where using Fusion would be fine to add those dovetails. Unfortunately I do have another situation where the overall space that we are working with is quite large and to do that would be very cumbersome. So we are in a stage of research to find the best tool to do this.

Thanks for the information,
