Hey Håkan,
Those red/purple dots are projected points. When you link sketch geometry to an edge or point of already created solids Fusion will automatically project them into your sketch. The function of projected lines are they stay associative with the solid geometry they are referencing. If that geometry changes those lines and other geometry dimensioned to those projected lines will update.
Best,
Mike
Hello Michael
There's a following question which I had the same.
In the attached screen shot, I like to draw a line which ends up on the blue square but fusion 360 automatically place the point at the purple(red) dot, no matter how far they are(even it's very far away), tried turning off the snap but not working, so how can I place the dot I want, how do I avoide this purple dot, thank you.

Purple means that those lines are rasault of projection (they will update if projected shape would be re-edited). Raymond you've created sketch on existing face, and Fusion automaticly project that face on your sketch. To aviod that you need to create construction palne on that face, and then on that plane create sketch.

This doesn't work for me. I get magenta points no matter what plane I sketch on. Any other ideas? Any liklihood that this horrendous software logic will be fixed?
As already commented, please create your own thread and be as specific as possible. Supporting your questions/problems wih screenshots, screencasts and shared designs usually yields the best answers!
