Sketch/Project to Surface query

I have successfully performed a Project to Surface of a circle (from an existing sketch). I then successfully extruded that circle as required (creating a circular hole on a face).

When I change the shape of the body (by changing the dimensions of a different sketch) the extruded circle gets "left behind" (doesn't update with the rest of the body).

I have tried to constrain the extruded circle but can't get any constraints to work. I am obviously missing something. What must I do to ensure the extruded circle gets updated when the rest of the body does?

Thanks.

Was the creation operation in the extrude dialog box set to "Join"?

Because if it was set to a "New Body", this is what should happen, so you can go to the timeline and double click the extrude feature icon and then set the operation to "Join"

After that, any changes to the original body should update the circle as well

Actually I think the issue was I had selected the plane and the not the object face to extrude from. So when the object "moved", the extrude (which was a cut, not a join) had no reason to move as it was still on the right plane. Does that make any sense?

At least it worked anyway 🙂
