Try right clicking the top toolbar and reset. Also use the photo option in the message toolbar to add pictures rather than attaching,I havn't downloaded and looked at you picture so my answer is a guess.

Right-click on the toolbar and reset the all toolbar customization or using same with other option of show hidden pannel.

I have the very same issue now and right clicking doesn't give me the reset option...

It now a few years later and we have a new UI, but nothing I have dome makes sketch come back...

I finally found the correct place to reset it and sketch is back.  🙂   Still no idea why it vanished in the first place.

@Mowee  This problem has come up for a few people with the last update. Did right click on a toolbar button and reset work for you?

Thanks Mark

At first it did not let me right click anyplace on the tool bar.  But later when I tried again it did let me right click just to the right of "Design" next to where the Sketch Button should have been.

Now it seams I can right click anyplace and the reset option shows up.

Thought I had issue with Model workspace missing, but it seems this is my issue now.

The "reset" commands are not active when I right click.

When those options are grayed out, it means fusion thinks there is nothing to reset.  There isn't a workspace named "model" anymore.  can you post some screen shoots of what your missing?  It could be that fusion has a bug,  or it could be that your missing something.  Given all the recent changes I would say it could be either.

Thanks, I eventually figured out that I was behind the times with the Model to Design workspace thing.

My issue after that was that I could not see the sketch area in my design workspace.

A number of people above suggested the right click to reset the toolbar as a solution to this.

But the right click is not available for me as shown above.

A workaround I figured out was to click Create sketch from the solid area, then upon creating a line,

the sketch area shows up.

I now have the work around so will wait for the team to fix the currently known sketch missing issues

Thx

Pete

@phughesC5B6Y - what you describe is the way Fusion is now intended to work.  Sketch tools other than Create Sketch will not be available unless you are in sketch mode.  To get into sketch mode, you either create a new sketch, or edit an existing sketch.  This is the way the new UI works.  It all came in the same UI revamp that got rid of Model and Patch, and replaced it with Design.  So, this is not a workaround, it is just the way sketch works now.  Sorry for the confusion.

And that is all good.

I just wasn't following along the last few months so missed out, and

figured they must have been bugs.

And I am good with knowing that the team are aware of some small potential issues.

I work for a big N.E. university and we are all about fluid experience,

so the changes here make sense.

Many Thanks

I also have the same problem.  I can't see the sketch toolbar when I create a new sketch or edit an existing sketch.  How can I make the sketch toolbar visible?  I'm definitely in sketch mode, according to the button "Finish Sketch", but I can't seem to make the sketch toolbar visible.  I can use the hotkey commands (c for circles, r for rectangles, etc.).

Would it be possible to mention that in the Fusion 360 instructional material/update the lessons? I am very new to CAD and completely new to Fusion 360 and that information would have been really useful to have in the Fusion Mastery course. For example in Getting Started For Absolute Beginners / Getting Started In Fusion 360 / Lesson 7: Import And Export the tutorial just dives into importing an IGES file and editing it with the sketch workspace and it was an extremely confusion and frustrating journey to get here which could have been easily avoided by making sure the lessons match the program.

I am also experiencing the issue where i can no longer sketch.... enter sketch mode and the sketch tool bar does not appear. I can use hotkeys but this is not ideal!

1. Start Screencast Recorder

2. Right click on the XY plane and select New Sketch.  Stop and then upload recording.

3. Attach or Insert Link to your video here.

A workaround that does work for me is :

On the plane you want to sketch on,

right click, then select sketch.

select line tool and start to draw.

This is when the sketch tab shows up at the top for me

I reinstalled fusion 360. First time I opened it no luck. The second time seemed to work fine!
