Sketch invisible

I have an existing sketch that I am trying to edit. It is part of a component. The component, sketches and sketch are all marked as visible. Only this one sketch remains invisible. I opened the design but, I'm not seeing Sketch 4 listed in the browser. All of the sketches appear to be visible when I toggle the visibility.

Do you have sketches enabled in the Object Visibility filter on the Navigation bar?

You may try uploading the attached F3D to see if it resolves the issue.

Woops, I should have mentioned that it's suppressed in a group called logo near the end of the timeline.

You mean the one labeled "Sketch 5" ?

I have no problem toggling the visibility of any sketch in your file.

Maybe you can create a screencast and show the behavior.

Yes, off course you cannot see a suppressed sketch!

Ah ha! Got it! You need to expand the group in the timeline. Then right click on those features in the timeline and select unsuppress!

Even after unsuppressing it the sketch still does not appear. I've attached a screencast to demonstrate.

Okay thanks for that. I can reproduce the issue. The sketch appears to be in some odd state where the visibility status will not change. Even if you sketch new entities while editing the sketch, they will remain invisible. 

I've logged a report with development to investigate the issue further. I or someone else will follow up here as soon as an update becomes available. 

The reference ID for the report is FUS-29668.

I think the fastest solution available may be to create a new sketch and forget about this one.

I had this same issue happen again with a different, newer document today. I had previously had the sketch suppressed and when I went to unsuppress it to edit it the same thing happend.

I am still encountering this issue quite regularly. Any update on it's status?

What in your workflow requires you to suppress a sketch ?

I am usually using it to compare visual design choices. Suppressing the sketch automatically suppresses the dependent features so it is quite convenient to do so that way.

File>Export your *.f3d file and then Attach it here and end all doubt.

Doubt? It's evident in the file I first linked to. I've attached an archive of it in case that is different.

Sketch4 of Component3. It's the suppressed one.

This might be a bug as the sketch does not turn visible when unsurpassed.

However, if you update your questionable modeling methods then. predict you won't need to suppress anything.

Hi @TrippyLighting

Thanks for posting. I found that if I went through the file, unsuppressed the suppressed features, and deleted the fillet feature in which references were lost, the sketch showed immediately. There may be a bug here, but I was unable to force it in a new design. I'll wait on logging anything (as this file works as expected with a little clean-up), but will keep an eye out for similar behavior in the future.
