Sketch fillet error "Error: Fillet cannot be created"

Hi,

I'm trying to create a fillet in Sketch, but get the above mentioned error.

There are "black dots" in the corners that I would like to have corners, but I cannot seem get rid of them.

It is in the chassis sketch in the chassis component in the f3d file.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Sander

Hello, you can use this method as an option.

the trouble here is, that top curve is an uneditable curve, not a natively-created CV spline or fit point spline.  It could have come from imported geometry or from a projected model edge that has been "Break Link"ed from its original edge.  The only way to fillet that corner is to remove that curve and re-draw it using CV spline or fit point spline.

I have found that to work as well on some of my projects. I am always importing or inserting geometry and it seems to hate doing anything with it until you modify it.

Lovely!

Extending the lines works like a charm (also on my computer 😃). I've been trying a lot of things (even redrawing the whole thing again, just to get stuck on the same situation again 🙈). And the solution is so simple!

Thanks!

None of these solutions work for me on a very similar problem

Take a screenshot and show which geometry you're trying to fillet.

I figured it out.  Some background:

I was generating a shape using imported data for an airfoil.  It created a spline as per the drawing below.  I used the offset command to create curves below.  I'm guessing that it had something to do with it being "linked" to the spline.

My solution was to use the offset command to create a curve.  Then I created the next curve by offsetting from the curve I just created, rather than the original spline.  Likely less accurate but I was able to fillet the new curve/line

Thank you so much. I was searching for it from many days.
