Sketch degrees of freedom

Hello,

so when I'm sketching in Inventor and want to fully constrain the sketch, then I have the option to turn on "Show all degrees of freedom" of the sketch. So I can see where is the sketch not constraint. Is there option like this in Fusion? Can't find it.

I have sketch that I would like to constrain fully and have no idea what's missing. Nothing is moving at all. And that option would help.

Thx,

Matt

Take a look in preferences on the preview page. It's still in beta and fails sometimes, could also do with using 2 colours rather than one.

You mean option "Color sketch geometry based on constraint status"?

I got that ON, but it still shows me that something missing and I think it shouldn't.

You need to dimension the centerpoint of the arc or somehow fix the x,y of the arc thru tangency or coincident points.

You may want to submit an idea to the Ideastation to add the "show all degrees of freedom" feature.

I take that back. I missed the horizontal constraint between the arc and the circle centerpoint. I think you've found a bug. Like Mark said, it's still in beta.

I don't know actually if it is bug, BUT I changed the horizontal dimension and look what happend 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Sorry I didn't look closely enough at your link, I thought it was a download link so didn't see the image. I've had a look now, if you have an example like your first picture you can share support are looking for example where the DOF status fails.

Hi Ezekiel12,

Thanks for reporting the problem of sketch fully constraint check. Could you help attach your model here in the post or send it to weining.cao@autodesk.com for us to go on analyze whether this is a bug or not?

Thanks,

Frank
