Sketch creates new items when parameters are changed

I have created a parameter driven sketch. Initially when I changed a paramter the sketch would change accordingly. However when I change parameters now, the sketch is updated but the original sketch stays in place as well.

The Forum users really need to see the model that shows this error.  Please attach it.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

this is not an error, because the sketch is only updated when the sketch is edited. so if the sketch is closed and the parameter table is edited, the sketch cannot be updated because time plays a role. what was first?? chicken or egg?? will you BR mango

this is not correct.  changing a value in the parameter table does update the sketch, even if it is not open.
