Sketch and snaps?

So, I've not used Fusion in some time. Life tends to throw wrenches into plans from time to time.....

I am trying to sketch up a fixture for work, and for the life of my I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding why there isn't a straightfoward method of snapping (in 2D sketches) to midpoints of a line or quadrants of a circle. Seems to me that would be pretty standard functionality, so I'lll just assume I've not pressed the magic combination of keys to open that option......

Old autocad had options you could toggle on to do a very specific snap. Not seeing it here.....

Hello Seth,

It's good to hear that you are able to spend some time with Fusion 360 again.  Let me start by saying you have the ability to turn on the grid and use snapping.  The settings for this are at the bottom of the workspace.

When you have a line we use constraints to attach another line or geometry to the center.  Look for the triangle indicator for the feedback that you are constraining to the center.  By using constraints we are able to parametrically update our model.

Please share with me your model containing the sketch you are using for a fixure if you have any questions and I will give you suggestions after taking a look.  You can use my email for sharing the model.

Cheers,

I have been searching for the circle quadrant snap ability.  It would be nice if you could either snap to one of the compas points of the circle, or even more helpful would be a snap to the intersection of a line and a circle.  That way one could draw a line from the center of the circle at any angle, convert it to a construction line and then continue from the point where they interesect.  I'm ont a CAD power user, but have seen this feature on the package I was using prior to Fusion.  Is this available or is it something that is being worked?  Thanks.

That should work. Line from centre blue X shows intersection.

After picking point coincident constraint is auto created.

Also works on an intersection.
