Simplify model differently in different simulation

I have a component and want to run two thermal stress analysis on it. I have my stock model and have simplified it by removing half as its symmetrical. All is fine at this point I run my simulation and have my results. I have started a new simulation and gone back in to simplify and further modified. My problem now is that I have errors on my first simulation as the simplify function doesn't seem to be independent of the fact I have two simulations.

Am I correct in this? Is the only option to save the model out twice and run two different simulations on two separate models? If this is the case then how can I use the compare function to compare to simulations? It all seems a little silly to give the option of having multiple simulations for one component but having the simplify features shared between them?

Hi, in the video below you can see the right steps for accomplish this.

https://autode.sk/2Xtrpj4

Basically, you need to clone the Simulation model of the first simulation in the Simplify environment, inheriting also the previous setup if you want.

All the modifications you do on the cloned model won't affect the original one.

After that, you will be able to run the new simulation and compare the results with the ones of the other.

I hope this helps,
