Hi there just needing some help understanding the fusion 360 simulation compared to my hand work 😄
In any case what I am trying to work out is why my hand work is so far out from what the simulation is giving me
this is the sim http://a360.co/2mfDGoM
as you can see it has a displacement of around 3.6mm
however working by hand
I = ((BxD^3)-(bxd^3))/12 = 2.08492x10^-7
Deflection y = - WL^3 / 48EI
= -2000*3^3 / 48 x 235x10^9 x 2.08492x10^-7
=-0.022961 m = -22.96mm of deflection
Can anyone see where I am going wrong?
Thanks for the help,
Sean
