simple alignment problem

Hello,

I have been working on a problem of trying to align components and I need your help.  I have 2 link components that I want to align with an existing assembly.  A holes in one link need to align with a hole in the existing assembly, and the angle of the link set.  Then a hole on the 2nd link needs to align with a hole on the first link and the angle of it also set.  I have been unsuccessful for a few hours.  Can you please direct me to resources to show how to do this?  It seems like it should be simple, move, align, rotate... but it has not been so simple yet.  Can you please help me?  I attached a screenshot of the assembly.  The links need to be aligned with the blue lines as I mentioned above.

Thanks

Thanks for responding to my post.  I am new to Fusion 360 but I have previous experience with Pro-E and Catia.  My expectation for how to solve this problem is this:

1.  Make axes at the center of the 2 holes to be aligned.

2.  Align the axes of the 2 holes.

3.  Align the faces of the 2 objects so they're on the same plane.

4.  Rotate the 2nd object at the hole location to the correct angle.

5.  Repeat for other objects.

I've noticed a few things though:

1.  If you make an axes it doesn't seem to be associated with the object (component).

2.  If I align the hole ID surfaces instead it flips the part around and re-orients the angle.

3.  Often the align function makes the wrong part move I don't understand why I tried selecting different ways.

4.  I can't seem to find a way to rotate the part at a given point/axis.

I really appreciate the help.  I'm sure there are easy methods to do what I need to do.  Thanks for the LED shield BTW!

Thanks

Have you looked at the help on building assemblies with joints.

Here's a link to info on the type of joints.

And a more general link on building assemblies.

Thanks for responding.

I had just downloaded Fusion 360 and thought I could do a quick assembly without any training or tutorials, because CAD has become more intuitive since I worked with it last 5 years ago.  I found the official help tutorials to be very well produced and helpful.  I now have a lot more confidence in working with Fusion 360.

Thanks for your help.
