shell with fixed offset

The attached file is just a solid cube. I want to create a shell all around the cube, as a separate component, with shell thickness of, say, 0.02m. Further, I'd like to have the shell remain attached to the cube on all sides as the cube dimensions are changed. The cube and shell are separate components because they will be of different materials. I can create a shell with the shell command, but not with the above desired specs. Thanks.

Take a look at the Screencast.  I made a mistake, in the Screencast and created a new body during the Thicken command, I should have select new component.  Sorry about that.

Let me try again to not only create a new component of the outside offset shell but also show you that it is linked to the inside body, in your case, but it could be a component.
