Shell on an object with a pushed split face crashes the software

Hello everyone,
I am having a peculiar problem.
I am trying to create a simple mold and, to test the principle, created a design.
Shelling the back part is no problem:
However, shelling the front part with split and pushed geometries crashes the software:
I was able to circumvent the problem by shelling then pushing the inside of the mold, however in order to save as much material as possible, I'd like to be able to shell it as it is.
Anyone ran into the same problem?
