Shell not working

Simple shelling of a solid 3D billet not working. 96inch solid diameter trying to shell it down to 2inch wall thickness BUT MY END TOTALLY DISAPPEARS when I do the shell step. Thank you for any help.

Attached Fusion 360 file.  It's a simple solid billet 30ft long and 8ft diameter.  I've done shelling before many times - but now when I shell the billet to 2-inch wall thickness it works EXCEPT PART OF THE BILLET DISAPPEARS.  The part I select for shelling is what disappears.  I don't know what is going on but it's frustrating.

First Select the whole body then give it a shell and write 2 inch like screenshots
