sheet metal refold issue

Hi all,

I've created a sheet metal part extruding a curved sketch profile, unfolded it, extruded with another sketch, and then refolded.

However it doesn't refold if the thickness of the sheet, under the rules settings, is bigger than 7,3 mm.

Is there any setting to adjust to solve the problem?

I've just tried that way, and I saw it works, but I'd like to extrude directly the sheet, without having to delete unwanted extra faces.

so, thanks for your time but this is not a solution.

I am sorry my solution does not please you.  If you make the sheet metal body, responsible for the bend, the same width or less than the main model thickness, it will not work.  The only choice is to place the sheet metal body on the outside face, in this case the top since there is a contour on the opposite face.  This makes it harder to calculate the angle and location of the bend which I did not do on the attached model.

So these are the two choices, if one of them will not do the job for you, then you are out of luck.  Model is attached using an outside sheet metal body.

thanks @jhackney1972 you don't have to apologize 🙂 Having already tried the ways you said, I'm only asking if the problem I'm encountering has an easy solution or it's a bug.

Do you think the fact that I can't bend, if I made an extrusion with the same or less width of the sheet, is wanted by the devs or is it a bug?

My question comes out because I'd like to find a way to a bend a body, question that I've already asked here, because till today the command doesn't exist; for now I've to use the bend+boolean trick.

This is a workaround for a non-existence function so it definitely not a application bug.
