Whenever you modify a sheet metal design in the flat pattern, e.g. by rounding or drilling holes, all those features do not show up in the normal model view, which I would expect. I think other CAD programs do that and it would make most sense.

What other CAD program?

Edit. the Unfold - not the Flat Pattern.

@Anonymous  - not sure - engineer I know using another program said it does in his. Maybe Solidworks.

"Edit the Unfold" - what does that mean - isn't the flat pattern unfold?

@TheCADWhispere Thanks - found the unfold also by searching how to do it in Solidworks - as you described in your instructive post doh - sorry for the inconvenience and borderline-stupid question.

However, shouldn't the editing of the flat pattern be disabled then, if it does not show in the final model?

There are cases where you might want something exported with the Flat Pattern that does not appear in the Folded Model.

Ironically - to use an entry level program to do professional work - you must be a professional understanding all of the implications of the tool, while Autodesk Inventor Professional gives you a warning about Flat Pattern level features.

@TheCADWhisperer - Well, then it seems to be a deliberate and hopefully well thought through design choice. Thanks for your help.
