Hi,

I am new to Fusion 360 .Iam tring to design a car tire and i hanve  to admit this is a great tool. The problem is that whenever i select the edges and reduce the cicumference of one side of the cylinder the whole body undergoes changes to give me a conical look ,but that's not what i want .i want the edge to trace a face whenever i reduce the circumference .

iam i missing some sort of key or commmand here ?

can someone please help me out?

You want the edge to "trace a face?" What does "trace a face" mean?

I believe what you're looking for is the alt key

When you edit the form, if you want to add a face when you make your move, you need to move while holding the alt key, so that a new face or faces according to your selection is added and that will prevent the whole body to be affected

Hii @Anonymous

Thanks for Posting your problem in Autodesk Forum.

To Solve that Condition You Should use add face commands for don't disturb other faces.

For add Face You should use ALT Key + Edit Form Command and you drag arrow according to need your direction of faces.
