Going through the settings for corners in sheet metal I can't figure out what a 3 corner bend is, I found an example in the Inventor help here. I think I recreated something similar but the overrides don't seem to have any effect.

OK Should have read to the bottom of the page where it says "Note: The corner relief type and radius size specified in the corner tab of the feature is applied when you create your flat pattern and does not display in the folded model."
But with some more testing I've found the overrides don't work. If I edit the rule for a part the flat pattern changes to match the rule but if I modify using an override in the flange feature it doesn't show in the flat pattern!

Experimenting with this and found where the problem is. If you create a flat pattern then edit the override in a flange the flat pattern doesn't update, deleting and recreateing the flat pattern gives the correct pattern. In the attached file Component 3 has an edited flange and incorrect flat pattern.

yeah I had a similar issue in a different design - I wasn't sure if I used SM correctly but as you pointed out it seems it seems more a problem in the tool.

Thanks for your post about 3-Corner Relief.
As you mentioned its correct 3-corner relief geometry change gets display only in Flat pattern.... its not get display in folded model.
Only 2-Corner relief geometry change gets display in folded model.
Regarding Override option for 3-Corner relief, there is know issue for 3-corner relief which is not working from override option, our development team is working on that issue.
This functionality will available in next release. But we have one work around as you found while testing .....If you create flat Pattern after applying the override corner relief then
its properly gets apply in flat pattern.
