Shape optimization and preserve regions

Hi folks,

I've been playing around with Fusion these last days, mostly regarding Shape Optimization.

I'm working on a contruction project, with precast concrete façade cladding (like GFRC). The visible part of the cladding is designed by the architect (mandatory) and I'm trying to get the most of fusion to optimize. I can't seem to find any option to preserve a region different than a sphere, cylinder or a box.

Is there something I'm missing ? Thanks in advance for your help ! 🙂

If you describe your goal in more detail, there would be an approach for answering. An illustrated sketch might help.

I'm trying to keep the front (the highlighted face of the picture on the previous post) while minimizing the ridges needed in the back.  I will post additionnal sketches tonight, if needed !

This would benefit from a Generative treatment. You can specify any BRep geometry as preserve.
