Shape optimisation criteria - defining stiffness instead of weight

Hi all,

I'm trying to perform shape optimisation on a biomedical implant part in order to reduce the stiffness of the material from that of a solid block of material. In this case, I would like to define a known, maximum stiffness of the structure and ask the optimization process to maximize the structure's weight for the given stiffness value. It seems as though I'm unable to adjust the shape optimisation criteria to be driven by a stiffness value instead of a weight reduction percentage. In the Fusion360 learning page, it is suggested that criterias can be deleted (via a red cross on the left) however I haven't been able to do so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi nathanael,

Users are not able to delete the stiffness since that is needed. However if you add constraints in the Shape Optimization Criteria dialog then you can delete it by selecting the red X. Please see attached picture which shows the red X for Minimum member size. The red X is not available for stiffness. This is as expected. I will log an issue to improve our help. Thanks
