Several solutions for existing constraint

Greetings All!
I have a designed a very simple vase and would like to understand how I can break the piece (sans the hammer) into to separate parts that I can export to .stl.

I would like to utilize dual extrusion with multiple materials and am completely lost on how to accomplish this. I understand I could have designed it as separate bodies initially but I am confident that I would'nt be able to accomplish the look I wanted. Please find a rendering attached. Thanks in advance

Hi,

use crease edges in the sculpt environment to create faces edges and then render each face with the render face command

another way to do it is to split the body of the vasa after you finish modeling it, and that will create multiple bodies but with the same shape you got to

Hope that helps, kind regards

Saeed

Saeed, Thank you for taking the time to give me an answer. Is it possible to maintain the geometry (if I crease, etc... it will change the aesthetics completely) and split this into two pieces? A good example of what I am referring to is he model shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPufaJhyqME&list=PLogLRK5xzNdieu445p2O7wODJpQBVf-Ss
